Brittany Nugent

Brittany Nugent is a researcher and filmmaker studying migration and the mobile web in Athens, Greece. She recently co-produced and directed her first feature-length documentary film, Oulaya’s Wedding, an impressionistic portrait of the Western Saharan family band Group Doueh, which premiered at The New School and Anthology Film Archives in New York City. Her research interests include collaborative filmmaking as methodology, gendered migration, and the inherited optics and narratives of the cultural economy. 

Prior to joining the program, Brittany worked as a design researcher and strategist on policy outreach and editorial projects.
