Leandro Goddinho is a Brazilian filmmaker based in Berlin. After studying Cinema and also Theatre in Brazil he has directed 7 short films, 2 medium-length films, and 2 video clips, totaling more than 90 awards in International Film Festivals as a director, screenwriter and picture editor.
On TV, he worked as an image editor and assistant director in sitcoms for the MULTISHOW channel in Brazil. He also directed 3 theatre plays and was assistant for renowned directors in São Paulo.
In 2015 he was selected to the German Chancellor Fellowship for prospective leaders sponsored by Alexander von Humboldt Foundation to research and develop a documentary about homophobia in Brazil and Germany.
Currently is attending a Master of Arts in Media and Visual Anthropology at Freie Universität-Berlin, holding a DAAD Scholarship for foreign artists. His short film "Piscina (Pool)" had the World Premiere at the Palm Springs International Film Festival in June 2016, it has won 31 Awards and it was selected for more than 100 Festivals around the World.
