Michaela Resch studied Journalism and Communications (Bakk.phil.) at Universität Wien as well as Social and Cultural Anthropology and Filmstudies at Freie Universität Berlin. Since 2010 she has been working as a broadcast director, editor and cinematographer for various projects and companies. Her first film RE:AW:RE:FW (short documentary, 2016) discusses everyday racism and the feeling of powerlessness. The film won the special award of the Foundation of the Sorbian People (Stiftung für das sorbische Volk) at the 26th Filmfestival Cottbus. Currently she is part of the Master’s Program Visual and Media Anthropology at Freie Universität Berlin.
