Born 26/09/85 in Negrar (Italy)
Elena Quintarelli graduated in Anthropology at the University of Bologna with the research thesis Rethinking blackness: reflections on Pan-Africanism and Black Movements in the Cultural Studies", developed during the Overseas period in California, Santa Cruz. Her fields of interests are the concept of identity (especially in the stage of the identity creation) and nationalism, virtual worlds and virtual lives, and migration studies. She traveled in Sudan and Egypt and she is particularly interest in Sub-Saharan and Mediterranean cultures. She is currently developing a research in SL on a women association and she is administrator of an Italian 3D community.
