Igor Karim has a M.A. in Visual Anthropology from the FU Berlin, B.A. In Anthropology from the University of Brasilia (UnB), work experience as a researcher with governmental policies towards indigenous groups in isolation in the Brazilian Amazon and with gang and drug related violence in the Federal District`s public school system. He produced two documentary movies, Tinderlove (2014) and The three bodies of a camera (2014), both related with researches concerning the Anthropological studies of Technology, Techniques and the Body. He has ethnographic experience with camera operators and their body techniques. His current research is with the methodological aspects of film production. His current interests are: Visual Anthropology, Anthropology of Technique and Technology and Anthropological Theory. He is currently based in Berlin, Germany.
