Nena Hedrick is a product of the Southwest, born in Texas and raised between there and New Mexico. As an adolescent, she was the world’s biggest Wu-Tang fan and most mediocre discus player. Later, she studied cultural anthropology and perfected the art of riding a bike in a sandstorm. Since university, she has moved around cities, states, and countries making a living through teaching, making furniture, photographing, selling hats, and cooking.
She is currently a Master’s student of Visual and Media Anthropology at the Freie Universitat Berlin and immersing herself in community radio production.
