Aging on WeChat: a Study of Social Media Impact Elderly in Urban China

This paper explores the impact of the Chinese instant messaging application WeChat that became very popular among elderly people in urban China. It is passed on interviews with 20 people research participants in the age group between 60 and 75 as well asnd their adult children. It examines how WeChat improved the relationships between the parents generation over 60 and their adult kids.
