Dr. Samuli Schielke is a research fellow at Zentrum Moderner Orient (ZMO), Berlin and head of the research group “I search of Europe: Considering the possible in Africa and the Middle East”. His research focusses on everyday religiosity and morality, aspiration and frustration, and literary and creative trajectories in contemporary Egypt.
