Krista Hovsepian is an actor, photographer, and filmmaker from Toronto, Canada. Before starting the Master in Visual & Media Anthropology, she recieved her B.F.A. Photography & Film Studies at Ryerson University School of Image Arts.
Krista currently resides in Los Angeles, California. She recently wrapped on her first original digital media series - Wholesome Foods, I Love You… Is That OK? - which she wrote, produced, and stars in (to be released in early 2018). An active member of Women in Film - LA and Toronto chapters, as well as the Toronto ACTRA Women’s Committee, she works diligently to champion women’s work in the entertainment industry. She is also very much concerned with opening up space for broader, more relatable representations of women in media. Her VMA thesis film, flow, screened as part of the Culture Unplugged film festival and can be streamed via the festival's website. Earlier this year, she was featured as a Change Maker in Yoga Digest magazine.
