Beina Xu


Born in China and raised in the United States, Beina Xu is a writer, editor, and filmmaker based in Berlin. She is an organizer of Digital Anthropologies, an annual festival of ethnographies and art in Paris, and is currently working on a docu-fiction film on false names. Her thesis and film works have been presented at anthropology conferences at the University of Sussex, the FACA conference in Portugal, and the DVG Conference, as well as various film festivals. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Literature at New York University, and previously worked as a Writer, Editor and Producer for the Council on Foreign Relations in New York and Reporter and Photographer for the Wall Street Journal.
