Janina Findeisen is an anthopologist and researcher with a MA in social and cultural anthropology, comparative studies of religion and european anthropology. Specialized on shamaism in siberia, jihadism in germany and middle east, focusing on the digital and visual influence of games and online networks on new terrorism and their propaganda influence.
She worked for german newspaper „Süddeutsche Zeitung“ and german television „NDR“ and „WDR“ and for the investigative unit of NDR, WDR and SZ. She is based in Berlin.
Filming short films and documentary „Berlin Muslims“, 23 min and for ARD „Reise in den Tod“, 15 min.

Janina is teaching the course: "Narrative of Terror. Framing modern Jihadists in VR" in the MA program in Visual and Media Anthropology.
